From News Center (Text by Huang Jianxia, Office of International Exchange; Photo by Zeng Rongshuo, Media Convergence Center) On the afternoon of September 28, LVTC held the opening ceremony for international students enrolled in 2023 and "Full Moon, Full Love" Mid-Autumn Festival activities at Ingenuity Academy, Guantang Campus. Vice President Wei Lin attended the event, as did relevant personnel from the Office of International Exchange and Student Affairs Office, and international students enrolled in 2023.

At the opening ceremony, Wei Lin extended a warm welcome to international students enrolled in 2023 and gave a brief introduction to LVTC. She hoped that international students will experience Chinese culture with an open mind and embark on a learning journey full of opportunities and challenges. On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, she wished everyone a happy life and successful studies.

Up to now, 41 new international students enrolled for the autumn semester of 2023 have arrived on campus, including 7 degree students, 20 order class students, and 14 language students. They come from 10 countries (regions) in Asia and Africa. LVTC has a total of 67 international students currently enrolled, with 41 students from ASEAN countries. After the holiday, there will be more students arriving on campus to register.

After the opening ceremony, the faculty and students participated in a series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Overseas students experienced the unique romance and elegance of the Chinese nation by handcrafting lanterns, wearing Hanfu, making mooncakes, and tasting mooncakes. "I have only seen Hanfu in Chinese movies before, but today I had the opportunity to try it on, and it is so cool," said Eshap, an international student from Afghanistan.

These activities not only enhanced the students' interest in learning, but also ignited their love for China, especially traditional Chinese culture. LVTC has always attached great importance to the cultural education of international students. Through a diverse range of campus cultural activities, it encourages overseas students to know China and be friends with China, spreads exceptional Chinese culture, and tells the stories of China.
